This is the moment we have been waiting for!
Another historic moment in the history of South Portland, when once again, the health and wellbeing of its people are being put first.
It’s critical that we fill that council chamber with support this Monday. Please come to show your support!
What: City Council Meeting (short agenda focused on the first reading of the new fire code amendment)
When: this Monday, Feb. 1st at 7PM
Where: City Hall
The new fire code amendment has been rewritten and vetted by our city manager, city staff, city attorney, and Foley Hoag, our consulting law firm, to protect the residents of South Portland from dangerous propane facilities located near our residences and infrastructure. It is designed to withstand any challenges before the U.S. Surface Transportation Board, and/or in court.
This remarkable achievement is the culmination of a year of work and the coming together of a coalition of citizens, neighborhood groups, and our city government staff.
